2015 Audi Q7 Redesign and Release Date
This good news is coming from the second generation of the Audi Q7, the full-size crossover. It is a full-size SUV with the three-row seating and also the large cargo area, except for North America’s. The next 2015 Audi Q7’s angular, metallic grille is directly influenced by the Crosslane concept, the brand that has its debut at the Paris auto show last year. A pronounced shoulder line gives the new Q7 a special wide ad muscular stance, but its bold and powerful appearance only heightened by the wheel options measuring form 18 to 21 inches in diameter. However, this new Q7 is actually overdue. Unlike its brothers, the Volkswagen Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne, the Audi has never received any significant update.
2015 Audi Q7 Redesign
Speaking of the engine selection of this new Q7, it actually has not be finalized yet, but it is confirmed that all of the new 2015 Audi Q7 models will come with an eight-speed torque-converter automatic and the Quattro all-wheel drive. We may expect to see the continuation of the supercharged 3.0 liter V-6 as the 3.0 liter V-6 TDI. Also for the twin-turbocharged 4.0 liter V-8 that found in some of VW group offerings should be available as well. Audi will offer the two plug-in hybrid variants with ‘e-tron’ badging: the one pair of electric motor with the supercharged V-6 and another pair of electric powerplant with the V-6 TDI. However, the US market will only receive the gasoline-drinking e-tron. This new generation of Audi Q7 has some competitors that will make you hard to decide which one better, since every of them has its own plus and minus. Among other competitors, here are the most popular competitors of Audi Q7, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne and Mercedes-Benz M-class.
2015 Audi Q7 Release Date and Price
Some sources tell that the new Audi Q7 will drop a whopping 700 pounds compared to the existing model. The most recent V-6 powered model has the scale at 5350 pounds. But we better wait to see the car and know the exact redesigns that make it lose more than 500 pounds of its weight. This next generation of Audi Q7 will be released next year and will come to the market as a 2015 model car. About the price, there is still no clue from the company, but we expect that the base price of 2015 Audi Q7 will not increase too much from the current model, that is about $47,695.
